Editorial - The Superficial and the Hidden
Welcome everyone to the first of the newsletters distributed through the Active Willingness web site. We have tried as carefully as possible to transfer details from the old mailing list but please be patient if there are a few problems. If you have not already signed up at the website, you should now be able to login using your name and a password of "wordpass". Please try it and you will then be able to update your details. Let us know if you have any problems.
With the publication of the book and the creation of a new website, this is a very exciting time, not just on the physical plane, but spiritually. It is very hard to be aware of what is taking place on the spiritual plane because we do not know or do not understand. How our lives and actions fit into any divine plan is unclear at best and completely opaque most of the time. However, just occasionally, we get a glimpse, or a feeling about what is happening.

Doubt and Trust
A while ago I was talking to a spiritual friend, discussing how we were doing. Not for the first time I told him that I still had a lot of self doubt in regards to my teaching. “You seem very attached to your doubt.” he said and I suppose in some ways I am. I am constantly very aware that despite all the growth and experiences that I have had I still have great doubt.

Crystals are reflections of the beauty within ourselves.
My whole world is inside me
Deep within my body spins the Universe
Golden and sparkling with light
My light radiates out
And burns bright within
Outside reflects inside
Inside reflects outside
Strength internal
Strength external

Initiation in Egypt
The cargo ship on which I am sailing will soon be coming into the port at Giza. The ship is carrying cotton and I am helping to unload the bails onto the dockside. I have been told that it is time for my initiation into “The Order of the Sphinx”. The heat of the day can sometimes be oppressive but I know a nearby lodging house where I can find food and drink and a bed for resting and replenishing before the ceremony.

Seasonal Choice
Its a real pleasure to see the seasons rotate.
To appreciate the contrasting beauty of each.
Each season brings a different feel, a different energy.
Being connected to the Earth, we are also connected to this seasonal energy and as each phase of the year goes by, we can feel this within our own Consciousness. I like to treat the seasons as a framework for personal growth.
